What's new in WSP 6.5

  1. Increased area of functions for calculating properties of water/steam up to 50 MPa for temperatures from 800°C to 2000°C (early up to 10 MPa). This changes based on new equations from IAPWS - http://www.iapws.org.

What's new in version 6.0

  1. New functions for calculation properties depending on parameters (h, s) for all regions of IF-97.
  2. New functions to speed up property calculations in region 3 of IF-97 depending on parameters (p, h), (p, s).
  3. New functions for calculation rough values of density on saturation line for water and steam (wspROUSGHRSWT(t), wspROUGHRSST(t)).
  4. New functions for calculation rough values of specific enthalpy on saturation line for water and steam (wspROUGHHSWS(s), wspROUGHHSSS(s)) depending on parameter (s).

  1. The software package "WSP" is recommended by Department of General Inspection for Exploitation of Electrical Power Stations and Networks of Russian Joint Stock Company Unified Energy System of Russia (RAO "UES of Russia" - http://www.rao-ees.ru/en/) for using in power engineering (information letter # IP-14-27-2001 from 03.08.2001).

What's new in version 5.5

  1. "WSP" received the official certificate from GOSSTANDART OF RUSSIA (http://www.gost.ru) that WSP functions reproduce the values from the standard reference data (GSSSD R-776-98) and the IAPWS Industrial Formulation 1997 for the Thermodynamic Properties of Water and Steam. The registration number is "AK-35/4" of April 16 2001. You can find the electronic copy of certificate at web site of WSP: http://www.wsp.ru/eng/certif.htm.
  2. Thirteen functions for calculation meta-stable area of steam. Here is the list of new functions.
  3. New functions are supported in the program WSP Calculator.
  4. Some improvements in internal code of functions that speed up calculations.
  5. Mathcad Samples were changed greatly.

  1. All functions have been transferred into C++ and composed into a dynamic-link library (DLL).
  2. Calculation speed in the Mathcad environment have been increased by 8 - 14 times comparing with the earlier versions.

  4. WSP Calculator is available now with the sources in the Microsoft Windows environment that allows calculation of water and water steam properties.
  5. Examples of WSP operation in Microsoft Visual Basic, Microsoft Excel, and even Windows Scripting Host are also available.
